Prevention = Way of Life | Online Library for Adolescent girls
The Greek Society for Adolescent Medicine with the sponsorship of the Greek Company MEGA – EVERYDAY implement the Corporate Social Responsibility Program titled: Prevention = Way of Life
The aim of the program is the emphasis on Prevention for adolescent girls. Adolescence is the key age during which emphasis needs to be placed on prevention programs, as adolescent girls gradually acquire:
- Conquest of independence
- Right to health management
- Development of hygiene habits and acquisition of health knowledge
- Development of high-risk behaviors
The creation of an Online Library for young girls was the main concern of this specific program. The articles of the online library aim to inform and raise awareness among adolescent girls on issues concerning their physical and mental health, providing valuable advice from a team of expert scientists of the Greek Society for Adolescent Medicine.
The articles were edited by the Scientific Associates of G.S.A.M. of various specialties:

The posting of the articles takes place on the internet, as technology is the means of communication that young people particularly love. The articles are addressed to adolescent girls in direct, simple and understandable language, in the 2nd person, and are short and concise. 10 additional articles with valuable advice for the parents of adolescent girls are also included. The library consists of 11 thematic units and each thematic unit includes a series of articles, 100 articles in total.
